c64-history-part-3

There were many Great Software Title available by U.S.Gold software. The first ever game that I saw on the C64 was in fact what pushed me to get one.It was called Spy Hunter , I never went to the arcades much so didn’t know that it was an arcade conversion. At my friends house he showed me his c64 and loaded in Spy Hunter. I remember the loading screen had the U.S.A flag with some Yankee doodle tunes and a small scroller for adverts for other games. This was cool. The game itself was excellent and we played it together (2nd joystick was used to disperse oil ect).

My Sister (Elcin)and I used to play games two player games regularly and the best of the early bunch were indeed the classic Bubble Bobble and the Great Giana Sisters, I managed to get an original copy of the cassette version of Giana in England before it was taken off the shelf after a court dispute with Mr. Nintendo!. Bub and Bob was simultaneous two player action and we tried to complete it together.
